AC Shadows Reveals Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre partnership that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine group.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Content
Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

This update also adds the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous mission pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature skills: Naoe debuts a performative variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns.
